A uew one-cent postal card is uowbeing printed at the bureau of engraving and printing, and when the firstissue of 4,000,000 has been countedand bundled the new card will boplaced on sale. Its distinctive featun*is that the new card contains a vignette of President McKinlev in lieuof President Jefferson’s portrait. Tinissue of the Jefferson card will le discontinued when the present stock onhand is exhausted.When desired by purchasers the newjjostal card will be furnished in sheetsof forty cards each. It is expectedthis arrangenaeut will effect a largesaving to purchasers who have theirmessages or addresses printed on postal cards. In order to avoid the heavyblack device at the top of the Jefferson card and leave a clear space forthe postmark, the new postal cardhas three lines of small tyje printed jabout an inch below' the top of the 'card.
