atAlta Chapman' 'honored on '83rd birthdayMrs. Alta Chapman was honored for her eighty fthird birthday with a family dinner and surprise reception on Sunday, February 22, in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis E. Nugen. Her son and daughter-in-law, Mrs. and Mrs. Robert E. Chapman of rural Wichita, assisted Mrs. Chapman’s birthday was February 23. ^Those enjoying the family dinner were Mrs. Chapman, Mr. and Mrs. Nugen, Leon Nugen and Linda Nugen, Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Chapman,Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Barbara Ann) Harreld and Tiffany, and Mr. and Mrs. Whitney (Judy Lea) Boys.Guests who attended the reception were Mrs. Earl Chapman and her daughter, Mrs. Robert Hatfield of Belle Plaine; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pratt, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Nugen, Mrs. F A. Walcher all of Arkansas City ; Mr. and Mrs. John A. Reisch, Karla, Mark, Kristi, and Troy of Haysville; Mr. and Mrs. Clark Chapman of Wichita; Mr. and Mrs. S.H. Nugen, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Wentworth, of Geuda Springs; Mrs. Cliffie Warrender and Bob Warrender of Ashton; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ramsey, Mrs. Hazel Swaim, Mr. and Mrs. George Manly, Mr. and Mrs. Harold McKee.Earlier in the week Mr. and Mrs. Rob Hutchinson and Helen Elaine from Bartlesville, Okla., and Ms. Ruth Wentworth and Verna from Wichita visited Mrs. Chapman at the Lakeside I Lodge where she is living at the present time.
