Ezell Bailey SmithiJJCAMA—EzellBailey Smith, 91, died Friday, March 10,2017.Funeral, Sunday,2 p.m., Buckhorri United Methodist Church. Interment, Buckhom Cemetciy.She is survived by many friends, neighbors, nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her husband, George V Smith; and son, Timothy V Smith; mother, Vick Narron Bailey; brothers, Vemie and Gemie Bailey; and uncles, Battle and Percy’ Narron.Ezell was nicked named “Easy” by one of her teachers at Buckhom School - the name stuck and followed her throughout her life. She married George Vernon Smith on Nov. 27,1946. Ezell was a hard-working helpmate to her farmer husband. She was an excellent homemaker and a wonderful cook. Ezell was an avid gardener of both flowers and vegetables which she shared with her extended family, friends and neighbors. A lifelong member of Buckhom United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years and of course was called “Miss Easy by all her students. Ezell was also very active in the Women’sCircle at Buckhom UMC.Flowers are welcome or memorials are suggested to Buckhom United Methodist Church, 8102 N.C. 42 W Kenly.
