SENATORS HONOR SERGEANT AT ARMSCHARLESTON, March 3—(AP)—The senate paused in its duties today to pay homage to its sergeant-at-arms. C. P. Dent, of Montgomery on his 70th birthday.A tall, ruddy cheeked, whitehaired man, Dent thanked themembers for their remembrance —and for not including his age inthe resolution. S#“But Mr. Sergeant,” said President Hodges, “the senator fromCabell (Beacom) is most desirous of putting that 70 years in the record. On behalf of myself and my colleagues. I hope you have many, many happy returns of this day.”
