SCIO, Mar. 3.—Mrs. W. C. Sny der was hostess to members of the Astraman club at her home Thurs day evening. This was Indian right and after the roll call, the following program was given: “Citizenship Rights for the In dian”, Mrs. W. M. Stephenson; “Indian Religions”, Mrs. Clyde Bower; “The Vanishing Ameri can,” Mrs. Jay Spiker. During the social hour dainty refresh ments were served by the hostess. The guests were Mrs. Vivian John son, Canton, Ohio, and Mrs. G. 0. Canaga, Cadiz, Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Richard McGiffin of Canton, Ohio, announce the birth of a daughter at their home, Thursday, February 27. Mrs. Mc Giffin was formerly Miss Myr Fisher of this place, Mr. and Mrs. Merl Beckett of Chester, W. Va., announce the birth of a son at their home, Sat urday, February 22. Mrs. Beck ett was formerly Miss Margaret Wier of this place. _ Mrs. Elia Ramsey was called to New Castle, Pa., Thursday, on ac count of the illness of her daugh ter, Mrs. Frank Bower.
