Mr. and Mrs. George Glossner i bought the land in Woodward Twp.He is a retired farmer, and active for his age. driving his own car, which he couldn't do in the days when he began farming as a youth., He had a milk route in Lock Haven for awhile, and was supervisor a number of years in Woodward Twp. Ancestor With Washington Mr. Glossner was born at Flemington 33 years ago on Feb. 22, 1873’ —a date that recalls to his family several links with George Washington.Family records indicate that a direct, ancestor of J. Frank Glossner served with General Washington in the Battle of Trenton during the Revolutionary War, and the story goes that this ancester carried a flag at the crossing of the Delaware when Continental Forces fell on the Hessians in surprise attack.Mr. and Mrs. Glossner. the latter being the former Ada Monro, now 79 years of age, have three living children: Lester and Clyde, Lock Haven R.D., and Ralph. Cuyhoga Falls, 0.: four grandchildren, Mrs. Richard Laubscher, Clyde F. Glossner. Kathleen and Marion Glossner; and four great grandchildren, Shar-ree and Richard Laubscher, Jr., Clyde F. Jr., and Georgie Glossner. Sister Is 87 Mr. Glossner’s sister, Mrs. Emma Houck, now 87. and living at Phil-ipsburg, is an early graduate of the Central State Normal School in Lock Haven.For the birthday party, all of the family were present except Ralph Glossner. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Frank. Mr. and Mrs. Lester, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde G. Glossner, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Laubscher and children, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde F. Glossner and children, and Frank Rothrock.
