NINETY-TWO YEARS OF AGEIlESIDEXT OF COi XXV EIGHTV-EJGHT V FA I IS.Manning Drake's Relatives, Neighbors and Friends CelebrateI Jin hda y A n n i versa ry.Last Saturday was the 92nd anniversary of the birt.li of ManningDrake, of Fairbanks township, andhis children, gra n d c h i 1 d r e n, great-grandchildren and other relatives,friends and neighbors to the number of SO persons gathered at the home of jhis son, James Drake, one mile southlt;of Fairbanks, with whom the venerable gentleman resides, and celebrated the event in a manner most pleasing to him and appropriate to the occasion.IThe guests came with their baskets packed to the limit with good things to eat and after the old gentleman had received the congratulations of his numerous visitors an hour or two was spent in talking about the pioneer history of the country and other interesting topics, Mr. Drake being wonderfully well posted upon the events of the early days as well as npon those of more modern times, and it was an easy matter for him blt; to entertain his guests. blt;Two long tables were set and the V tempting viands spread upon them, w after which two men picked up the tt large, easy chair in which Mr. Drake ttwas seated and carried him to the te• ■ • * * ; - ’festal board, where he was given the k( seat of honor.
