Hamw Skeleton tfneartheLOn Saturday, while a force of men were engaged in excavating for the foundation of the new U. B. Church, on Went High street, they unearthed the skeleton of a union soldier. As the old church structure was used aa a hospital during the battle, ii is supposed the man whoso remains were found, was an inmate, died from his svounds and was buried immediately outside. With the skeleton was also found the remnants of n gum blanket, in which the body was wrapped, knapsack, canteen and what is called a soldier's housewife, containing a skein lt;\i thread and a thimble, the thread being in a eomparatively good stale, but the thimble crumbled immediately when exposed to the air. Thu remains wore re-buried, Mr, Chaa. K, Little, Chambers burg street, has in his possession the remnants of the canteen, kimpsaek, etc.
