Through the courtesy of Hon S. C. Darling, treasurer of the Marlboro Electric Street Railway Co., the selectmen, representatives of the press, ex-treasurer A. C. Weeks, T. A. Coolidge, Esq., and E. R. Aliev, .were invited to ride over the entire line Tuesday afternoon. These gentlemen found that the coaches are very easy riding, stop and start easily round the Curves with little delay, and in general are a grand success as is the entiie system sis far as they are able to judge.“Rationt waiting brings reward,” and at last the good people of Marlboro are rewarded for their long season of waiting, by hearing the musical (?) buzz of the electric cars as they pass along the streets delighting the children, frightening the horses and tranferring the passengers quickly from one part of the town to the other. The success of the line seems to he assured, as far as the mechanical part of the problem is concerned, allowing of course for the unavoidable accidents ami delays incideut to the recent completion of the work and the novelty of the position to some of the employes. The cars hegau to take fares for the A rat time on Wednesday morning aud a representative of the Kktkkpkihk was the first one iu whose honor the brand new punch was first used. Whether the line will succeed as well Anancially as otherwise, remains to be seen.
