It was thought to leave San Diego some time next week, but yesterday Secretary Neal E. Brown was notified by the Pacific Coast Steamship company that the San Diego oarsmen will have to leave for the north on the steamer that sails tomorrow. Among those who will represent San Diego are Harry Vaughn, champion oarsman of the Pacific coast, who Is to represent the state in the senior single scullraces.All the members of the four-oared crew and Harry Vaughn also are said to be in excellent condition, and unless something .unexpected happens they should be in the finest kind of shape when they enter the regatta.
