On Monday, June 12 about 25 members of the Mid-Acres and Forget-Me-Not Garden Clubs transplanted flowers atthe Pioneer Home. This is anannual work project for theladies and they enjoy it verymuch. They left a few extraflats of plants behind and a fewPioneer ladies enjoyed plantingthem near their windows.* * *Jon Charles, weighing eight pounds, two ounces, was bom May 29 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Petersburg, Va. His proudparents are Charles and Sue Sandberg. His father was bom at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Fairbanks. He formerly worked atKFRB — presently he works atWSSV Radio in Petersburg.Paternal grandfather Clarence Sandberg works at MUS in Fairbanks.♦ * *Mrs. Hon Wilson, retired businesswoman from Seattle, arrived in Fairbanks on June 2 with Mrs. Marion Wood and plans to visit here for another week or 10 days.Until recently she owned a number of large apartment houses in Seattle.Mrs. Wilson, 83, is visiting with old friends such as Sig Wold (she says she has known him for 50 years) the Joe Fran-ichs, Ed Stroecker, and the LesDodsons.
