Braddock nestles the- home of W. H. McDowell, who has passed beyond the •Hotted time of man. and there, surrounded by nature In her health-giving vigor, he is spending; his declining years. Each year the home is the acene of a grand gala day and that day ia the one that marks the birth of Mr. McDowell, who on Sunday, June 10, celebrated his Toth birthday. This day always means the gathering into the home his largo Tamily and his descendants for several generations. The event is as eagerly looked forward to by the children and the children's children as it Wby Mr. McDowell himself. The refreshing breezes as they greeted the home-coming of the children and the gathering in of the friends on lift Sunday was such as would add to the delight of all. Following are the names af those who were present:Mr. McDoweU’s sister, Mrs. Mary Artis, his wife Rebecca and his sons, John M. McDowell. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McDowell of Uniontown, Mrs.Harry EHenberger and daughter Virginia, Mr. and Mrs. William DeBoit, John W. and William Harold McDowell, John, Ethel, Margaret, Mrs. Sara Holland and Children, Edward. Feurl and Mollie, Bradford Wilson McDowell, Adam X. McDowell. Mrs. Adam K_ McDowell and children. Albert, Rebecca. Minnie, Orris, Jessie and Ad.nn J. of UoJoQtown, William A. McDowell Bethelboro. Among the friends that and children, Ina, Thomas and Oran of Bethelboro. Among the friends present were Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Ellen-berger, Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Martin, 31r. and Mrs. Charles Bowl by and daughters Sadie and Anna, Mr. and Mrs. Andy Bissell and daughter Jos- (er epblne, Mrs. Li air Morrissey and pi daughter Gladys, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Martin. Miss Myrtle Regg. Mrs. Link Smitley and son John, George Wagner and Lee Harbarger. Mr. McDowell was the recipient of many valuable and uaeful presents and also a nice sum ol money which was presented to him to remind him that as he journeys on down the wintry years his friend:* are ever thoughtful of him ami desirous of making the path as smooth and pleasant as possible for him to travel upon. When the noon hour came the enjoyment of the day was enhanced by the ladies spreading a grand dinner otiL in the grove, partaking of it after Ibe old time picnic
