O. Kohler to celebrate birthdayMrs. Opal Kohler will celebrate her 80th birthday with an open house reception June 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. inthe home of a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Mary) Watts at 437 McKinley av., Newcomerstown, with whom she resides.She was born at Wolf to Mary and Ernst Kuhn and was the youngest of 12 children. Her husband, Robert Kohler, died in 1947.Mrs. Kohler is a well-known cook at the Luncheonette on Main st. in Newcomerstown for over 25 years and prior to that worked at the Home Restaurant. She is a member of Newcomerstown St. Paul Lutheran Church.Her other children are Mrs. William (Jane) Worthington of Pleasant City; Mrs. Jack (Beryl) DeRing of Newcomerstown, Robert G. Kohler of Coshocton, and Mrs. Don (Marilyn) Atkinson of Newark. A daughter, Ruth Hurst, is deceased. Sixteen grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, complete the family.It is requested gifts be omitted.OPALKOHLER
