—The large sujnmer hotel and dancing. pavilion at Silver lake, four mites west of Manitowoc, was burned to the ground. The fire spread so fast that the guests saved nothing and had barely time enough to iick up their clothing and reach the street,. they having all retired. C ;cat pretermtions.had. been made during the evening for ,a grand opening. A large barn filled with hay-and fam ma-ehinery across. the road also caught fire ' from the intense heat and burned to^ the ground • The entire contents or the; hotel and other , building were destroyed The loss will- reach ?9000, about: halfcovered.by instance;.
