WHITELAW(By Th« Oas«tte’s Correspondent)f| Whitelaw, June 1.—The two r I schools made an excellent showing at the Musical festival held | at Fairview on the 27th, several first prizes being captured by the juniors. The senior boys put on a one-act play which was a credit to those taking part. Unfortunately Billie Rylance met with an accident while on the stage which handicaped him slightly. This mayaccount for the onex mark theylost out by.Little Kenny Fox,. youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. L. N, Fox, who died at his home May 25th, was buried at the Fairview Mission Thursday morning, May 27. A large number of friends gathered at the home and also attended the church service. The sinceresympathy of the community is extended to the family in their great loss.Mr. and Mrs Wes. Matchett and family accompanied by F. Meashaw left by car Sunday for Edmonton to attend the funeral of Gerald Miller. Gerald was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. GordonMiller, who some years ago farmed in the Golden Meadow district.Mrs. N. Peterson, of Edmonton, is visiting Mr. and Mrs.O. K. Peterson.Miss Florence Reid, teacher for Burnt Lea school, is a patient in the Fairview Hospital. She was thrown from a horse and broke a small bone in her leg. We wish her a speedy recovery.Nan Lysne celebrated her third birthday, May 3lst. by having some little friends in for an afternoon tea party.Last Lake baseball boys visited Whitelaw ball players on Sunday afternoon the score being “Tell me the old old story?”
