In these cases, the name on the social security card does not correspond with that on the birth certificate.In such cases, workers may obtain new social security cards bearing their true names, according to Mr. Victor H. Dill, manager of the Springfield, Ohio'field office of the Bureau of Old-Age and Survivors Insurance. But, in all such cases, a duplicate number, and not a number which is different from that first issued^ should be obtained. Applicants should request duplicate numbers in such cases, Mr. DiJl said.These change ol name cases are handled through the Springfield, Ohio social security office lor all workers in the counties of Clark, Bogan, Miami, Champaign, and Shelby.
