OBITUARYRebecca Cooksey, the daughter of William and Helen Cooksey, was born in Louisville, Kentucky, July 20, 1838. At the age of one year she moved to Springfield, 111. Two years ater she came with her parents as pioneers to Iowa to live on a farm one and one-half miles south of Dean. Ever since that time her home has been in, and near the village of Dean. She was united in marriage to Dr. G. S. Stansbeery, August 12, 1854. To this union nine children were born, of whom eight are now living, Dr. D. C. Stansberry, of Geneva, Neb., August McMahan, of Exeter, Nebr., Ella Dav-of Milan, Mo., C. W. Stansberry, of Dade City, Fla., Stella Morrow, of Lacede, Mo.; J. W. Stansberry and C. E. Stansberry, of Moulton, Grace Morrow, of Dean; and Xania Brough, of Centerville. One son, Wickliff, died in infancy.Mrs. Stansberry and her husband both united with the Christian church in the early years of their lives, were buried with their Lord in baptism and lived firm in the faith until death. That Mrs. Stansberry was a woman of remarkable constitution was proved by her patient and faithful continuance in a strenuous life—a Doctor’s wife, on a farm, caring for a large family, often alone. Her declining years since the death of her companion, have nearly all been spent at the home of her daughter, Grace, where she was best contented midst the scenes she had known in her happier years. Here she died, Sunday afternoon, Juy 26, 1925, just six days past her 87th birthday.Recently she had talked much of dying and by a strange premonition' she knew --that, death was imminent even before she became bedfast. She had Grace, her daughter, summon all the children that she might again see their faces before her rapidly failing eyesight should become too dim. They all came to be with^her in her last hours, and are now lfcft sorrowing, together with a‘ host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services were held at the home of the daughter, Mrs. GeorgeMoore, Tuesday morning,; at 10:30, conducted by Rolla Morrow, and thp body peacefully laid-to finest beside the companion in the detpetery.\]I
