Whig District Confentlo*.At a convention of the whig delegate of Dane, Green and Sauk counties, held ] al the.Capitol Jbly 27lh, on motion, Adin Burdick* Esq. woe called to tho chair, and H. F. Kendall,On motion a committee of five was ap- * pointed to apportion the candidates to the • several counties, who after consultation ; reported that each county be entitled to one j f member.The following persons were then put in nomination by the respective counties :Dune—Col. A. Botkin.Green—J. W. Stewart.Sauk—Co!. James Maxwell and W. II.Hubbard.On motion, ,T. W. Stewart was unanimously elected from Green, and Col. A. Botkin from Dane. The convention then proceeded to ballot for candidato from the county of Suulc, which resulted as follows ; W. II. Hubbard 10, James Maxwell 3, upon which the chairman announced W.lL Hubbard as duly nominated from the county of Sauk.The Chair appointed J. R. Brigham, P. VV. MuUs and J. T.
