ANOTHER RUNAWAY WIN FOR BRODRJBB ,• Pa* Brodribb, 17 year old Eehuca cyclist, is making: a habit of turning the road events into one horse races. After winning the previous week’s race by a mile, he passed the winning line in Saturday's 22 mile handicap with the remainder of the field still out of sight.It was a splendid performance for .he rode unassisted to win from start to finish, despite a fall at the end of the first circuit when his wheel struck an unattended bike.The above picture shows him finishing strongly to take the “Astoria” trcphv with M. Skerry second, A. Lowe third, and R. Ackland taking fastest time as he was the only scratch rider.The race marks Brodribb’s third win in four weeks and Lowe’s third placing.
