The late Calvin Snively, who died recently at his residence on South Jonathan street, left a widow and aninfant boy, who celebrated his first birthday on Tuesday, the 21st inst.The event was appropriately observed by naming the child, Joseph William Samuel Elias John IsaiahCharles Gerritt Sr'vely. He is thefortunate namesake of the followingdistinguished gentlemen: JosephNewcomer, William Wishard, SamuelHipkins, Elias Cost, John W. Cost, Isaiah Hartle, Charles Sanders and Gerritt H. Smith, each of whom sentthe young hopefully a dress, makingin all eight dresses, as birthday rifts.
