City Marshal Arrests ManCity Marshal VV. W. Jones arrested Jake Ward, colored man, Sunday at the Red Front cafe in East Dimmitt.According to Weird's mother-in-law Mrs. Will Chance, he was threatening to kill a man with a pistol he was wildly waving around. She said Ward was yelling. “I am going to shoot that ----- in the mouth.” Jones was just driving by when the incident occurred. He made the arrest and took the pistol which had been secured by Mrs. Chance.
