j BOV ESTABLISHEDI1 —■ The Identity of the adopted son of Captain J. H. Rawlston, of the Salvation Baptists, who is believed by some over-zealous persons to be the long-missing Richmond Byers, has been established until there is no further | room to doubt that Capt. Rawlston ! was telling the truth when he said (that the boy’s name was Johnny Sax-' ton.Mrs. M. R. Yocom, of this city, a sister of Mrs. Dr. Byers, was so impressed with the resemblance of the 1 Saxton boy to her missing nephew, that she decided to settle all possible doubts by investigating the claims made by Capt. Rawlston.Rawlston gave the authorities here the address of relatives and persons * who were familiar with the boy’s birth, and Mrs. Yocom wrote to the addresses given to ascertain the truth.I This morning Mrs. Yocom received a letter from Miss Cora Saxton of Cen-(tral City, West Virginia* who Bays she j is an aunt of the boy. Miss Saxton says that Johnny Saxton* who was adopted by Mr. Rawlston, was born at Sybene, Lawrence county, Ohio, on April 30th, 1901, and is just past 7years old. The boy, she says wasraised within six miles of the place where he was born until his father died, when his mother returned to West Virginia and brought the boy jwith her. She says the boy’s father, Frank Saxton, was her brother and that he died at the age of 36 years. The mother's maiden name was Sal-▼Ina Morrison and she is now living at Hurftington, West Virginia.Included in the letter w’as a certificate of the marriage of the boy’s father and mother from the minister. Rev. D. W. Saxton, who was also present when the child was born, calling Dr. Campbell to attend Mrs. Saxton.Rev. Saxton gives the same date of birth of the boy as Miss Cora Saxton* • but the place wnere the boy was bom is spelled by Rev. Saxton as Sibena, which Miss Saxton in her letter spells Sybene. There is no doubt about the genuineness of the letters and certificate and 1 this should set at rest all doubt as to the identity of the adopted son ofCapt. Rawlston. Mrs. Yocom went to Seelyville this afternoon to show Dr. Byers and his wife the result of her investigation and that they were right when they declared that the Saxton boy was not their long lost son.MOORESVILLE.Mr and Mrs. Win.
