During the process of its erection, how-eveif Mrs. Compton had a presentiment! chat she would never live lung in it, .and therefore, whenever any sitngeslion5 as to the various features of the house came up ■ in the family, she always deferred to t)ie wishes of the household and influenced by! her presentiment d^ired that the home shoo !d be built to suit them alone. At I that time she was apparently ia good health. Her death resulted from a general complication of diseases. Mrs. Comp-toil’s maiden name was Kedah J. Snath. She was born December ia, ifcSu, in Cincinnati. Ojj the 2urh day of Severn l*r,' 1S53, she was married to Freeman Compton and and tire children, three daughters,1 deceased, and Lwo surviving sons hlessed the union. Prior to her death Mr?. Coni|H tou had been confined lo her bed ior three: months. She was a woman oF most excel' tent character, hore her afflictions with | true Christian fortitude and her decease is greatly regretted.
