Ray Heritage chairman, David Musselman secretary and John F.- McCormick was appointed to receive funds at the Carroll County Loan Trust company. A committee composed of the ministers and a member from each church will be in charge of the unit and a community canvas arranged for the future.Wilbur Gates, 30 years of age, was frightfully injured Saturday evening at his home near Idaville, when a binder passed over his body. His right foot was almost tom off by the grain wheel, there were six punctures along the spine made by the sickle guards and two of the punctures penetrated the lungs, permitting the air to escape through the holes in his back. His body was cut and bruised in many places. The accident occurred when the horses, harnessed to the binder, started to run and Mr. Gates in trying to stop the team, ran around to the cutting side of the machine, stumbling and fell directly in front of the sickle.
