UOUUli8A BIT OF HISTORYThe town of Farmersvillc inCattaraugus County was formed from Ischua, March 29, 1821.Settlement was begun in 1816 by Peleg' Robbins, Len Pettee, Cornelius and Peter Ten Brocck and Richard Tozer, all of whom came from Otsego County, with two yokes of oxen, the journey occupying some three weeks, Ruel Robbins came in 1817, Daniel Hog-gen in 3 819.The first birth m the town was that of Addison, son of Richard Tozer, in 1817. The first death was that of Mis. Magdahne Adams, November 7. 1820, and the first man lage that of Peter Ten Broeek and Polly Tremain.The first school was taught in a framed bam in 1819 by Vina Older. Richard Tozer kept the first inn m 1S17 and Jacob Comstock the first stoie in 1828. The first saw null was built by James Warden m 182-1. The first religious services were held in the barn of Levi Pel-toe in 1821.
