IK COLORED CIRCLES.—The twenty-fifth anniversary of the Ladies’ Grand Court of the West Eastern Star opened last Tuesday morning in Allei* Temple. A number of representative ladies were present,and judging from the reports of the visitingmembers each session was orderly and the business, although of a secret nature, was expedited in a commendable manner, much to the pleasure of all present. The officers elected lor the ensuing term were as tollows: Mrs. Margaret Finley, of Evhnsville, Ind., M. W. G. Senior Matron: Mrs. E. B. Jackson, of Lexington, Ky., Vice Junior Matron; Mrs. 8. A. Hunter, of Detroit, Mich., Grand Secretary; Mrs. Hannah Watson, of Pittsburg, Pa.,Treasurer; Mr. J. M. Reynolds, of Zanesville, O., M. W. Venerable Patriarch. Mr. Wm. M. | Porter, of this city, was appointed Venerable Patriarch of Southern Distriet, Ohio. The sessiou closed*Tbursday evening with a public meeting, the installation of the newlv elected officers, Samuel W. Clark^Past Grand Master of Ohio, Thirty-Third 1 416$ Mason, making the installation speech flPQi very impressive manner, picturing the virtues of the Order inglowing terms, alter which the Grand Feast of tblt;?Passover was celebrated,with nowand then a beautiful anthem sung by the Allen Temple Choir.—To-day will be one of an unusual character at the Ziou Baptist Church. At 10 o’clock this morning Mr. George O. Ban non, the newly-elected Superintendent of the Sunday-school, will be installed into office. Rev. J. H. Frank and Rev. Edward Reed, of Louisville, will officiate at the services of the church. Prof. Wm. H. Parham at 3 o’cloek will conduct the services ot the anniversary of the American Protestant Association.—Mrs. Carrie Bailey, n6e Peyton, is in the city visiting her sister, Mrs. Mattie E. Whitlow, of Foraker avenue, Walnut Hills.—Rev. Wm. H. Stewart, pastor ol the Union Baptist Church, is at his home at Springfield, O., for a lew days’ vacation.—This morning William T. Peyton, Grand Master of the United States ol the U. B. P., will arrive at the Grand Central Depot, preparatory to attending the Grand State meeting ol the U. B. F., this week, at Lima, O.
