*♦About the most unique organization In the United States, in fact,the only one of its kind, held its annual meeting Thursday afternoon j in the City Park. It was the “ federate States of Americaan organization that was formed July 18, 1936, sponsored by W. L. McCormick. To be eligible for membership in the Club one must have been born in the Southern States when the Confederate Flag waved over this country.The officers of the organization were re-elected for another year, as follows: W. L. McConnick, president; J. L. Elliott, vice-president, and J. T. Aired, secretsry-treasurer.Rev. J. L. Atchley ol Lewisville made a short address, the theme of which was that never would wars and hate be stopped until such time as man learned to love God and his fellow-man. , DMembers present were: Mi’s. E.j ^ B. Peter, born in Decatur, Wise County, Jan. 17, 1803: Thad h. Huggins, born in Clay County, Ala., July 17, 1863; J. R. Atchley, born In Kings County, Term.. March 4, 1803; W H. Parker, born in DeWitt County, Texas. July 15, 1864, E. F, Willis, born in Vernon, La., August 6, 1863; R. A. Fitzgerald, born in Adamsville, Ten a., August 7, 1862, and W L. McCormick, born in Denton County. November 26, 1863.Some of the boys expressed the idea that they might register underthe alien laws, as they were notborn ir» the United States since the J .
