District Sells Junior High Buildings For $1.3 MillionFULLERTON — North Orange County Community College District trustees have approved a $1.3 million bid to buy the recently closed Wilshire Junior High School.The district wants to expand Fullerton College programs and needs the added classroom space, said a spokeswoman.Wilshire Junior High is located across the street from Fullerton College on Chapman Road. It belongs to the Fullerton School District.The “Wilshire tradition” of schooling ended last monthafter 67 years as a fundamental school because of declining enrollment and the high cost of maintenance. Fullertontrustees are expected to decide on the sale to the collegedistrict later this month.
