Friend, 58. a farmer 1 and carpenter, died suddenly Sun- : day afternoon at his home on WestChestnut St.Funeral services will be conducted from the Marshall-Smith Funeral Home Wednesday, 2 p. m., with the Rev. James Stalker of the Oxford Church of Christ in | charge. Burial will be in Oxford Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home Tuesday evening.Mr. Friend was born near Ricn-mond, Ky., June 21, 1894, the son of William C. and Sally Snowden Friend. He had lived 35 years in Oxford where he had been a farmer and carpenter.He leaves the widow, Effie Friend; five daughters, Mrs. Ferris Witt, Mrs. Paul Baker, all of !
