Wright Presided of the Jewett Car Works and a Number of Wheeling Capitalists.,.improvements to be Made.Rumors of the sale of the Newark Granville and the Newark City Electric lines have been current for the past day or two, but the official annnouce1 ment of the transfer of the property was not made public until this morning.The principal purchaser is Mr. W. S Wright, president of the Jewett Cat Works company and his associates are prominent capitalists of Wheeling, W. Va.While the price paid for the property is not obtainable, the Advocate has ii on good authority that the consideration is in the neighborhood of $150,-000.Mr. Wright states that steps will be taken immediately to improve the road bed and rolling stock of the company so that a Quicker and more effective service may be instituted.Since his connection with Newark| through the Jewett Car Company, Mr. Wright has conceived a lively interest in our city and expreses himself highly pleased fith its people, its natural advantages as to location and its prospects for future developments.Newark is to be congratulated that the possession of the road has fallen into such hands. Mr. Wright being a most experienced street railroad man, now at the head of a fine suburban line in Wheeling.t£The electric road was purchased from Receiver Janies F.
