ItI is now around the -10 and -20 I marks and we feel quite warm.I Mrs. L. A. Cowie returned I home last week after two I months holiday at Ontario points.Last year we had a bumper I crop of babies in this district. I We think the eight boys and I seven girls born to local people I in 1952 set a record. The happy parents are: Mr. and Mrs. Hoy Ek, a daughter, Mary Ellen; Mr. and Mrs. Chas.'Gives, a daughter, Clara; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Ek, a son, David Glen; Mr. I and Mrs. Paul Shuster, a son; Mr. and Mrs. Histo Karlson, a son, Eric Allan; Mr. and Mrs. I Fasick, a daughter, Helen; Mr.and Mrs. Feledichuk, a son; Mr. I and Mrs. L. Lov^s, a son, Mar-[ tin Hoy; Mr. and Mrs, Joe De-- drick, a son, Murray Michael; . Mr. and Mrs. Esko Karlson, a son, Larry; Mr. and Mrs. Lind-burge, a daughter, Shirley Anne; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Kemp,a daughter; Glena; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Burroughs, a daughter, Yvonne Louise; Mr. and Mfk. John Lay, a daughter, Mary Ann. .. . ,.Areland Klcket wis injured at school today whin he was hit over the eye with a pufck. Mr. Kemp, principal, took him to Manning* where Dr. E. R. Bissell closed the wound withseveral/ stitches. Mrs. Kicket♦* ..* / ■accompanied her son on the trip/The Ever Heady Club held itsmonthly meeting January 7 at the school with seven members ^ present. Meetings are usually ; held the first Thursday of each j month, but for January the meeting was scheduled for.Wed- ] nesday due to plans to have a i special speaker. However, due i to unforseen circumstances thespeaker, Mrs. Mary Harris, lt;Berwyn, was unable to attend. The weather so severe only bn$ of the officers was present. The meeting was held with Mrs. A. Yleen presiding. Due to absence of the secretary, ! Mrs. Lorne Simpson, Mrs. Palmer Heece accepted duties as ! secretary - treasurer. A sleigh ride was planned for January 1 23. After deciding to leave other business until the ^officers 1 were present lunch waiiepVed by the teachers. ,Mrs. Gunner Krig has been confined to bed with a severe cold.
