Account* of either pioneer life in the county or immigrant experiences of La t rtwMp county pioneers.». Contestant*, (a.) Class A, students enrolled in La Crosse county rural, state graded and parochial rural schools, (b.) Class B, students enrolled In village and city high schools and parochial high schools, in 10th, 11th and 12th years. (0th year students are excluded.)4. One story only may be entered by each contestant.5. Prises. (a.) To Class A first prize $5.00, second prize $3.00, wnm prizes of #1.00 each. (b.)To Class II first prize $5.00, second prize $3.00, seven prizes of $1.00 each.0. Winners of first prize in each ( lass will be invited to read their accounts at a meeting of the 1/a Crosse County Historical society.7. The maximum length is 500words.H. On first, sheet, (1) title, (2) author's name, (3) author’s age, (4)*nanie of school, (5) author’s address, (0) signatures of two adults who vouch for truth lt;f account, (g.)Net folded. (h.) Name of author must not appear on sheets bearing story.11. Stones entered in rural contest should be sent by the teacher of the school to Mrs. Blanche J. Stories entered in liigh school pontes t should be sent by the teachers to Miss Myrtle Trowbridge, State Normal School, La Crosse, Wisconsin.13. Points on which stories will be graded: (a.) Interest, six points, (b.) Value as a contribution to the knowledge of county history, four points, (e.) Composition, three points, (d.) Neatness, two points.14. Judges of contest will be appointed and announced later by the committee. They will be persons not connected in any capacity with schools entering the contest,15. The La Crosse C ounty Historical society reserves the right to use for publication or to reserve on tile any or all stories entered in this contests
