Birthday Surprise#On Friday, Jan. 18, lr. G. W. Flock and his step-son, Commodore Boley, were given a grand surprise at their home in honor of Mr. Flocks 00th birthday aud big step-son’s 18th birthday. They were both at work in the woods. When all the parties bad arrived with their well-tilled baskets they prepared the table and rang the bell and when they arrived the parties had gathered into the kitchen and they did not know any one was there till they stepped in. While they were preparing to sit down at the table, Mr. Flock’s son, Henry, of Buffalo, 111., stepped in and surprised him more than all the rest. Those present weie; Philip Flock. Joseph Bussubr* ger and wife, John M. Engleman and fami ly, Leonard D. Hickman and family, Jas, A. W. Davis and family, Mrs. Martha Flock and family, Mrs. Pauline Brandenburg, Mrs. Belle Kintner, Henry Boley, Peter Swarens, Cort and Columbus Snider (of Kansas), Henry Flock (of Illinois), and Emma Pepper and Ella Flock. A very enjoyable time was had.
