Mrs Jim Gilpin gave devotions. Mrs Anolia Thompson led the lesson on II Corinthians 6. The Friday, Jan. 23, meeting will be at the home of Mrs Harry Johnson.Mr and Mrs Charles Glenn hosted a cooperative dinnerSunday, Jan.-11, for four Januarybirthdays. Honored were Mrs Glenn and grandson Mike Glenn whose birthdays were Jan. 13 and daughter-in-law Katherine Glenn whose birthday fell on Jan. 7, also Mark Glenn who had a birthday on Jan. 15. Those attending were Mr and Mrs Robert Glenn and family of Harlan, Mr and Mrs Kenny Glenn of Perry and Miss Mary Glenn of Des Moines.Dr William Hoefle of Ames, Mr and Mrs Terry Hoefle were Thursday evening supper guests in the parental Ted Hoefle home. Mr and Mrs Terry Hoefle left Sunday for their ranch home near Kingman, AZ, where Terry has employment. Mrs Verla Anderson accompanied them for a few days’ stay. They telephoned Terry’s parents on Tuesday that they had arrived safely.Tuesday, Jan. 13, supper guests of Mr and Mrs Raymond Cody were Bertha Small of Dallas Center, John Cody and Michael Graham of Des Moines and Maurice Graham of Burt and Mr and Mrs Joel Cody.Tuesday, Jan. 6, supper guests of Mr and Mrs Archie Hoskinson were the Dennis Hoskinson family of Germany and Mr and Mrs Dean Hoskinson.Dr and Mrs William Hoefle and family of Ames, Miss Ruth Hoefle and Mr and Mrs Terry Hoefle were Jan. 2 supper guests of Mr and Mrs Ted Hoefle.Kriss and Liz Karber of Traer are parents of a daughter born Wednesday, Jan. 7, in Schoitz Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. She weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces and has been named Amanda May. She has three sisters,Melinda 4% and the twins Kimberly and Korina 13 months. Grandparents are Dr and Mrs M. W. Karber and Mrs Virgene Nation of Grand Junction and Jack Nation of Rippey. Great grandparents are Mrs Earl Karber of Grand Junction and Mrs Clara Peterson of Jefferson.
