New Exhibitat Art CenterThe first one mao show of paintings, drawings and sculpture by Herbert Grossberg, 5431 Cornell Avenue opened Sunday afternoon, Jan. 17, at the Hyde Park Art Center, 1506 E. 57th St. The three-week exhibition will continue through Feb. 6. Mr. Grossberg is an art teacher at Holden Branch of Kelly high school on the southwest side.The exhibit will include 22 oil paintings, four drawings and a head cast in plaster, with a variety of subject matter, ranging from nudes to landscapes. The artist is a native Chicagoan, educated at Hyde Park high school and the University of Chicago. He also holds a Ph. D. in art, history and archaeology from Johns Hopkins University where he was a Carnegie Fellow in Fine Arts.
