Roney Leonard DavisOct, 24,1919 - Jan. 17,2010Mr. Roney Leonard Davis, age 90, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at WilMed Nursing Care.Funeral sen ice will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Shingleton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Marsh Swamp Church Cemetery.He was preceded in death by his wives, Bertha Bailev Davis and Pattie Wester Davis, and adaughter Donna Davis Kennedy.He is survived by a daughter, Luanne Davis Honeycutt (Bennett) of Roseboro, two sons, Wiley J. Davis (Brenda) of Elm City and Roney L. “Ron Davis 11 and life partner Cornelia Abenante of New Beni: stepdaughter, Joan Lamm of Rock Ridge; son-in-law, Bobby Kennedy of Goldsboro; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends at Shingleton Funeral Home.
