College Library Will Receive Two*Mural Paintings—The jjiterior beauty of the Library building at the New Mexico State College is soon to be enhanced by two large mural paint-Inga by Tom Lea, well known artist of Santa Fe.Paintings will be made without cost to the College as a part of the Public Works of Art project recently launched by the Federal Government to 'provide work for unemployed artists.Lea recently visited the College and selected the space for the pictures and. has made preliminary sketches, one of which has' already been, approved, in painting the ••murals the artist is incorporating historic features ,and Is giving due consideration to the physical features of this section of New Mexico, which will form the background for the scenes.- Actual painting will probably 'begin next week in Santa Fe.Pointings wiu be hung in many New Mexico public buildings as a result of the 'art project, A number of easel paintings will also be distributed- Two such paintings will probably be given to State College.
