Slayer Goes To Death in The ''Chair'By Charles S. Kerg A. C. Slone, 25,' Negro cotton picker, was pul to death in the electric chair in Washington county jail a: 12:09 a.m. Friday for the robbery-slaying of Sam Hale, Negro tenant farmer, who was shot to death and robbed of §900 at Ills home on the Uclta and Pine Land Company plantation on December 22, 1949. . . .Slone vyent to his death calmly jin the gate's portable electric s -chair sdK up lh .the rear room of r!thr. aged jail.
