fTomorrowFebThis is Leap Year.Tomorrow is the extra davFeb. 21 Itonly comes around once every four years.We thought it would be nice to pay specialwere eitherstribute to persons in this area w bom or married on Feb. 29, so in' '*News-Herald we ran a story asking everyone w „ either had a birthday or an anniversary’ on the 29th to let us know about itIt wasn’t long before the phone started ringing. By the time our Tuesday noon deadline had arrived. no fewer than 97 persons had called to tollus they were bom on Leap Year ora LYear baby, or an aunt, or a father, or an-in-law, or a close friend born on Feb. 29.Actually there were more than 150 calls, but many of them were duplicates and some were to notify us of birthdays of people who live in other states.Many of the callers followed up their calls by dropping off a picture of the person celebrating a Leap Year birthday or anniversary.TheitFrankly, we were quite surprised by the response.Among the birthday celebrants there is oneset of twins. Bob and Dick, the Deacon twins whooperate the Deacon Chrysler-Ply mouth agency onSOM Center Rd., Mayfield Hts.And there is one person celebrating both a birthday and a wedding anniversary tomorrow Mrs. 0* D.
