Gonzalez as U.S. Senator to succeed Lyndon B Johnson have been endorsed by Webb County's Independent Club.Announcement of the endorsements was made this morning by Mayor J. C. Martin Jr., Independent Club president. He said the action was taken at a meeting of the Independent Ciub Executive Committee and Board of Directors held Monday evening.All endorsed candidates will receive full Independent Club support at the school trustee elections on April 1 and the special senatorial election scheduled April 4, Mayor Martin said.The three incumbent candidates endorsed for the Laredo Independent School Board are Dr V. L. Puig Jr , Francisco J. Flores, and Mervil M.
