Shirley Brereton attended the 2018 Westman Junior and Senior Honor Bands performances at the Centennial Auditorium in Brandon on Feb. 10. Jim Brereton’s step-daughter, Alyssa Peters, played the clarinet in the Junior band. Also, it was noted that Tyler Kennedy, grandson of Orville and Shirley Grills was in the same band. There were three students from Strathclair - Mi-chaela Kryshewsky, Carly Creber and Morgan Boles - in the Senior band. The Brandon University Symphonic band opened the afternoon.
