THE VALLEY talked with Mrs. Wilma (Talmadge) Goree of the SLIP UP community Thursday evening. Wilma had returned from Idaho the night before from a three-week stay. The reason being. . Julie Christine Goree, daughter of Army Capt. Barry and Brigitte Goree, was born Jan. 31st, weighing 6 pounds and 8 ounces, at the Bannock County Memorial Hospital in Pocatello, Idaho.Wilma arrived in Pocatello Jan. 26th. Also there were Wilma’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W, S. Pravtor of Bessemer. ThemPraytors had been visiting in their grandson’s home since Dec. 22nd. . and little MissIngrid Goree, who will be three years old in May, was delighted to have grandmother, and great-grandparents to “play with” during their visit. Talmadge is just waiting for May when Barry, Brigitte, Ingrid and baby Julie will arrive in the Valley for a visit for his first sight of his second granddaughter.Maternal grandparents areMr. and Mrs. Rudolf Wagner ofGermany. Great-grandparent other than the Praytors is Mrs. Leona Goree of SOMERVILLE.Wilma said, “I think baby Julie looks just like her mother, while Ingrid looks like her father.” It is for sure that THE VALLEY will meet this happy family when they do arrive inSee MARTHA On Page E-9
