TltACKKD NKGRO TO HIS HOMRJoe and Lucy, two of Mr. W. It. llrooks famous bloodhounds made a successful trail on a track fourteen hours old.Ou Sunday night at about 8 o'clock the large baru of Mr. It. O.Pace near Bailey was discovered on tire: and oltho efforts mere made to extinguish it, same were unsuccessful. The barn and its valuable contents were entirely destroyed. Mr. Pace and others felt that the tire wa.s incendiary, and suspicion fell upon a certain negro muu whom they located at his home about three miles from the barn. Upon officersarresting him, he very stoutly dented having anythin to do with thetire, but upon further consideration, tin- officer's decided that the evidence wasn’t sufficient to hold the negro, so therefore he was turned loose. Mr. Pace not being satisfied phoned to the Wilson County camp for thlt; blood houud* on the next day, Monday, at eleven A. M. The dogs mere scut to the yeene m*here tho fire occurred the night before, in charge of Capt. W. G. Williford andwithin a few minutes were following a track which led very directly for over three miles to the door of the man that had been arrested the night before on suspicion. The negro Is named Dennis Durey.
