Of the net income the electricity department turned in $110,980.89 while the water works departmenl’s'ligures are $41,282.45.Total operating revenues of the iititilities are given at $334,973.74, with the light plant nearly tripling the total of the water department, the figures being: water department $8S,71S.54 and the light plant $24G,255.20. The ration of operating expense apportioned to the two departments is about the same, $25,-155 for water and $89,913.80 for the electric department. Depreciation is figured at $9,001.55 on water works and $30,143.17 on the light plant.City Equity $350,000Figures show a city equity in the plant of $352,781.58 and long term indebtedness on the plant at $122,-000. of which $50,000 is In water works bonds and $72,000 electric, light bond. The report assigns $203-840.21 to reserves, retirement depreciation and $18,224.S5 for extensions. Profit and loss surplus is fixed at $S43,G99.S9, of which $352,-519.47 is for water department, and $501,ISO.12 for electric. A deduction of $5,512.50 is allowed for interest which is refunded to the city wjhich levies a direct for that money.
