V«. ;5 ■THIS WINNEBAGO MOTOR HOME . . . was a busy place Sunday afternoon during the American Legion snowmobile races held on the Lowell Steen farm as shown In the above Tribune picture, American Legion Auxiliary members cooperated with Post 21 as the Legionnaires sponsored the event and shared In parking of cars, aiding in the races, etc. while the ladies were busily serving lunches to many of the crowd estimated in the 2,000-a Menders bracket. Winnebago Industries, Inc. of Forest City furnished the vehicle without charge for the afternoon and the motor home was brought fo the Steen farm by Larry Weaver, Winnebago employee. Needless fo say, the Auxiliary members greatly appreciated the gesture... ATHE 401-440 FEATURE . , . Sunday afternoon at the Lowell Steen farm pitted two Arctic Cats, one John Deere and one Herters snowmobile in a five-lap race. The competing drivers and thefr machines are pictured above as they lined up for the starter's flag. From left to right, the men are Ron James of Burtafo Center on a Herters, Larry Blomstor, Buffalo Center with his John Deere, Richard Davis of Mapleton, Minnesota and Jerome Hanson, also of Mapleton, on their Cats. The evenl was won by Hanson and was his first victory in snowmobile racing.
