He married Margaret Shoemaker on Sept. 10, 1934 at Rock Island and her death occurred on March 27, 1942. He was a button cutter by trade.Surviving are his 'parents. Mr. and Mrs. William Ray of Muscatine; a brother, Ivan Rav of Muscatine, a half brother, Richard Ray of Portland. Ore., a half sister, Helen Landenbury of Minneapolis. Minn, rTh? funeral rites will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Ralph.• J. Wittich Funeral home where j ;he body is remaining. The Rev. Paul V. Clark of the United Brethren church will be in charge.\
