The gift table was attractively decorated with yellow or green and paper streamers and centered with a stork and baby cradle. Favors of stork mint cups w’ere given each guest. Tasty refreshments further carrying out the colors of yellow and green were served to the guest of honor and Mmes. Hazel Reynolds, Etta Padgett, Nellie Liech-ty, Alma Mizer, Inez Dafore, Willa Dafore and Stevie, Helen Colen-baugh and Marlene, Chloe Padgett, Mary Lou Fisher, Beatrice White, Amanda Shouse, Katie Stough and Rickie, Lillian Sinders, Louise Dyer, Rosalie Neal, Ellen Walls,and the hostesses. Mrs. Wall received many lovely and useful gifts.Mrs. Eva White visited last week with her daughters, Mrs. Vivian Dalton and Mrs. John Crandall at Bloomington.Mr. and Mrs. Don Wall entertained with a fish fry Friday evening honoring the birthday of his father, Fred Wall. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wall and Nina, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dafore, Mr. and Mrs. Max Dafore and j Stevie, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Neal and sons.Mr. and Mrs. Paul McGill and family spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ray McGill at Indianapolis.Mrs. Virginia Blair underwent surgery at Clay County Hospital Monday.Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Correll were Friday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Coy Collins and son, John.Woman's Study Club met Friday evening at the home of Mrs. Wm. Melton. President Mrs. John Weber led the group in salute to the flags and club creed. Members responded to roll call wdth a “Patriotic” quotation. Two solos in keeping w'ith Valentine Day were sung by Mrs. Wayne Neal. During the business session it was voted to have a covered dish luncheon at home of Mrs. Neal in Brazil, March 4. Mrs. Harold Orman then gave an interesting review of the book Sea of Glory” by Francis B. Thorton. Following the discussion refreshments in keeping with Valentine Day were served to: Mes-dames W. C. Bond, Dane Burns, J. D. Burns, Fred Cooprider, Floyd Correll, Elbert Dver, R. C. Fisher, Guy Moyer, Wayne Neal, Harold ; Orman, Charles Robinson, JohnWeber, Ed Weber, John Weber, Miss Verna Burns, Miss Ella Grames and one guest, Miss Bertha Collins.Week-end visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Frump were Mr. and Mrs . Tom Garlit and sons, of Franklin; Mrs. Wayne DauhufT and children, of Princess Lake, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Curtis and baby, of Indianapolis and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Frump, of Terre Haute. Other dinner guests Sunday in celebration of Geo.
