Mrs. Laura J. McDaniel.Mrs. Laura J. McDaniel, daughter of the late Matthew, G. Miller, a pioneer resident of Jefferson township, and wife of James A. McDaniel^ of this city, died at the family residence, 909 West Main street, at 2:40 Monday morning, aged sixty-three years, sevea months and sixteen days. Her death* resulted from a stroke of paralysis on Sunday morning, January 30, 1921.Mrs. McDaniel was born in Montgomery county. Indiana, June 21, 1857, and was married to James A. McDaniel, of Boone county, September 20, 1877. Beside th$ husband, ope son,Walter McDanieL and two grand children, Irl and Phnip McDaniel, of this city, survives. Two brothers, Thomas and Joseph S. Miller, are dead.MJrs. McDaniel joined the Christian church at Dover in the winter of 1876. She was also a member of Ruth Re-bekah Lodge, No. 2,1. O. O. F., of Lebanon.She came here with1 her husband from*the farm near Dover thirty-four years ago, and had resided here continuously ever since. She was a good wife and mother and was cherished as a neighbor and citizen.The funeral was held at the Central ■'Christian church at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Roy E. Deadman and Rev. Homer Dale officiating. Interment at Oak Hill, cemetery.
