SWT's Cornett,Featherstoneye recordsTwo Southwest Texas State basketball players will become the most active in school history this weekend barring illness or injury.Centers Travis Cornett and Truce Featherston, the 1-2scoring punch for the Bobcats, will each play in their 102ndgamefor SWT Saturday when the Cats meet Angelo State in San Angelo.Monday's game in Alpine a-gainst Sul Koss will put the senior duo over the record of 102 set first by J.C. Maze from 1948-52 and since tied by Gary Mullen (1965-69) and Alan Khea-ume (1969-73).Cornett, a product of San Antonio Edison, leads the Bobcats with a 19.2 scoring average. The 6-6 hook shot artist has been a first team All-lone Star Conference choice the lasttwoyears and has scored 1,705 points in his four-year career, second best mark in SWT annals.Featherston, from Taylor, is averaging 14.9 points a game and his 1,334 career points rank fourth in school history. Featherston, 6-11, is also nearing the 1,000 rebound mark. He has 936 with six games left on.The Bobcats will take an 8-4 ESC mark to West Texas where they will try to keep pace in the wild ESC race. Howard I’ayneleads a pack of contenders with a 9-3 mark, while Sam Houston is 7-3. Sam Houston faces a probable forfeit of one* victory, however, which would put SW T alone in second place.Cornett is the ESC's leading shooter and No. 5 scorer. He is hitting .609 per cent of his floor attempts.SWT is the ESC team leader in field goal shooting (.505), free throw shooting (.723) and defense (68.0). The Bobcats are also third in rebounding with a .537 nor m.
