Addi tional guests were Mrs. Howard Fry and Mrs. Roger Grant. The prize winners were Mrs. Howard Fry, Mrs. Stanton Carle, and Mrs. Gerald King. The next meeting of the club will be held in two weeks in the home of Mrs. Russell Teets. ARE SUNDAY DINNER GUESTS Mr. and Mrs. John Magnussen and family and Mrs. Emma Colgan were Sunday dinner guests of Mr.and Mrs. Bernard Crilly and family in Peoria. Donnie McCauley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don McCauley, entertained five of his friends Sunday afternoon with a theater party in honor of his eighth birthday anniversary.’ After the show the group went to the McCauley home where they ‘enjoyed playing games and had refreshments of ice cream and birthday cake. OBSERVE BIRTHDAYS SATURDAY Mr. and Mrs. Ben Blakey and fam ily, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Blakey and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Blakey and family spent Saturday evening in the home of the men’s mother, Mrs. Dell Blakey. The get-together hon ored the birth anniversaries of ‘Mrs. Dell ‘Blakey and Thomas Blakey. Refreshments of ice cream and cake were served during the evening. ~ * IS: HONORED AT. SHOWER A miscellaneous shower was held Sunday afternoon in the home of Mrs. Gilbert Pettit near Modena in honor of Miss Sandra VanCourt of Kewa nee. Assisting Mrs. Pettit were Mrs. Howard, Pettit of Streator, Mrs. Arnold Pettit of Bradford, and Mrs. Ben Blakey. ' There were 655 Invited guests. Various games were enjoyed and prize ‘winners were Mrs. Alva Mur ray, Mrs. Clifford Russell, and Mrs. Harry Morse, vol . ‘Following the opening of the lovely gifts presented to the honored guest, refreshments were served by the heat @s5e8,. EAGLE CLUB MEETS . The ‘Eagle club met Monday eve ning in the home of Mrs. Grace Nel son. Three tables of contract were in play and prize winners were Mrs. Grace Nelson, ‘Mrs. Edson Graves, Mrs. Earl Colgan, and Mrs. Nellie White. Non-member guests were Mrs. Arthur Colgan, Mrs. Lee Humphrey, Mrs. David Crone, and Miss Neora Janssen. The next meeting of the club will be held In two weeks in the home of Mrs. Nellie White. BROWNIE TROOP 301 MEETS Brownlie Troop No. 301 met Monday and elected new officers. The new president is Kathy Blakey and the new secretary is Phyllis Johnston. We learned a Brownie Scout song and played the peanut game, Maureen Cahill will, bring refreshments to the next meeting. —Ann Fehrenbacher, re porter, GIVES BIRTHDAY PARTY Yommy Down, eight year old son of Mrs. Warren Down, entertained his classmates of the Valley school with a birthday party Saturday afternoon. The children enjoyed games and were served birthday cake and ice cream. ~ = e ~ SANDHAM MOTHERS TO MEET A meeting of the Sandham Mothers club will be held Wednesday, Febru ary 11,at 2:30. School will be dis missed at 3 o'clock. A guest, speaker has been engaged by the committee in charge. Refreshments will be served by the fourth grade mothers.
